In order to successfully complete a court hearing, there are different roles that people play within the court.
\r\n

Court Officials:
\r\n These are magistrates, registrars or judges. They have an obligation to render necessary information to litigants to enable them access justice without hindrance. They have a duty to hear all parties to a dispute and determine the case in accordance with the law and evidence.
\r\n

Court Clerks:
\r\n These are clerks who sit int the court registry and court rooms assisting court officials. Their duty is to receive and open files in the registry and to make sure that the proper files are in court whenever there is a hearing. They must be courteous and patient with litigants at all times.\r\n

Court Bailiffs:
\r\n These are officers licensed by court and sent out to recover from judgment creditors. They must be courteous and carry out recovery within the provisions of the law.
\r\n

Police:
\r\n There are those attached to the court for security purposes and those that belong yo a specific police unit within the court’s jurisdiction. Police officers assist court in investigations especially in criminal cases and are obliged to bring offenders in police custody to court for prosecution within 48 hours.\r\n

Prisons:
\r\n These officers are responsible for bringing prisoners to court for prosecution. There are both civil and criminal prisoners.
\r\n

State Attorneys:
\r\n These are the representatives of the DPP stationed at every court. They are in charge of criminal prosecutions on behalf of the state.
\r\n

Cashiers:
\r\n All matters related to payment of court filing fees, bail money etc. must be referred to the appointed officer/cashier for assessment and a receipt is issued.
\r\n If at any one time the above parties are not present in court the case cannot be successfully heard and completed.
